ToggleSchedule Plan to Memorize Quran in 6 Months
We are going to give you two plans for a 6-month hifz. If you think you have a photogenic memory and you are genius enough to follow an intensive and extensive plan then go for our Plan A. If you think you need a little rest in this journey and you are not highly efficient to follow a rigorous plan, then go for our Plan B.
Both plans are for those who are ready to push the bars beyond the limit and set a new target. These plans are not for lazy and sluggish learners who seldom open the Quran.
Plan: A- Intensive Plan
As the name suggests, this plan is intensive which means;
- Long duration of classes.
- Double lessons for revisions.
- No holidays. Classes all week long.
- More portions to memorize and revise daily.
In the intensive hifz progrm, you will have to memorize 3-4 pages of the Quran daily with back-to-back revisions. Only then you will complete your whole Quran in 6 months. Let’s suppose you took 2-3 off days, then you have to memorize the missed portions too.
As for the class duration, 5-6 hours daily is ideal, but with intervals. You can divide these hours throughout the day at your convenience. 4-5 hours are required for hifz and revision and the bonus hour is to complete the previous revisions if any.
Be mindful that you have to abstain from all that is useless; no gossip, tours, or partying around with friends. Focus on your task to complete the goal and then you can enjoy being involved in all other activities!
Plan: B- Mild Plan
You are not committed to a week-long class? No worries! We have a Plan B for your devotion. The good news is that your Sundays are fun days! But, for the remaining 6 days you have to memorize 4-5 pages daily and you have to manage the time as well.
This plan is achievable if you dedicate more time daily to cover up the hours you are skipping on Sundays.
Bonus Tip: Your efficiency will play a good role in the accomplishment of this goal. Allocate 2-3 hours after can’t because it’s the time which is enriched in blessings from Allah.
Prerequisites for Intensive Quran Memorization
1. Devotion and Determination
Hifz is a full-time commitment. You can’t leave it in the middle because we are answerable if we forget the verses. Devotion and dedication are a must for a 6-month hifz plan.
2. Time management and self-discipline
Your success lies in your time management and self-discipline skills. The more efficiently and smartly you manage your hours daily, the more excellent your learning will be. Self-discipline complies with the following points.
- Wake up at the same time daily.
- Fix your meal-time and do not waste any minute.
- Offer your Salah (prayer) on time and sit for some time for dua (supplication).
- Stay in contact with relatives and friends but do not waste time in long chats and meet-ups.
- Exercise to keep yourself fresh and active.
- Alter and change revision times to break the monotony.
3. Hard Work and Passion
Your sincere hard work will be fruitful with the grace of Allah In sha Allah. Be passionate about achieving your goals and strive hard daily. Do not give up if you feel like it, ask for Allah’s help and ease.
Be more enthusiastic for hifz and also try to understand the meaning so that you can connect to the verses differently.
4. Continuous Revisions
It is very significant to revise the daily portions by dividing them into old and new memorization. If you think a Chapter you just memorized yesterday is 100% perfect, still revise it because the memory box will retain it forever.
5. No Frequent Off
Sunday is enough every week to relax, sleep, and drive! Frequent days off are not allowed in the plans despite any emergency. In case of any urgency, you have to manage the missed hours till the next week.
